[R730XD] Upgrade of Ram Memory | MIXED DIMM DETECTED
Hello,
I think I made a small mistake wanting to update the ram.
On my server dell PowerEdge R730XD has acutalmente 8x32gb 2RX4 PC4-2133P Samsung in slods (A1,A2,A3,A4,B1,B2,B3,B4)
Buy the following 10x32 GB 4DRx4 PC4-2133P Samsung, these memories place them on the slods (A5,A6,A7,A8,A9,B5.B6,B7,B8,B9).
However, when the server starts, I get the following error: "MIXED DIMM DETECTED" I guess because the memories that the server already has are dual rank and the new memories are quad rank. Is there any way to use both memories?
Regards

Hello Raven1505,
I see your second set of DIMMs are LRDIMMs. * RDIMMs and LRDIMMs must not be mixed.
